It was the vegetation. All the orchard trees blossomed forth in strange colours, and through the stony soil of the yard and adjacent pasturage there sprang up a bizarre growth which only a botanist could connect with the proper flora of the region. No sane wholesome colours were anywhere to be seen except in the green grass and leafage; but everywhere those hectic and prismatic variants of some diseased, underlying primary tone without a place among the known tints of earth.
— H. P. Lovecraft, The Colour Out of Space
The Colour Out of Oz is an 8-part campaign for Arkham Horror: The Card Game adapted from both The Colour Out of Space by H. P. Lovecraft and the Oz series of books by L. Frank Baum.
From the Dark Reaches of Space
The events that wreaked havoc at the Gardner farm so many years ago are threatening once again as another even larger meteor approaches Earth! You are hired to accompany the Miskatonic expedition to the Pacific Ocean in pursuit of the meteor’s landing site, only to discover a strange land that should not exist!
The Colour is an entity that defies definition, but its corruption rapidly sweeps over the land, growing big enough to threaten the entire world if left unchecked! Many scenario cards in The Colour Out of Oz make use of the Decay X mechanic to show the steady degradation of the Colour’s infection. Cards with decay are on a timer, with a horror token removed from those cards each round. When no horror remains, catastrophe strikes!
The Champions of Oz
In your quest to expel the Colour from Earth, you venture into the wondrous fairy country of Oz and seek any assistance you can find. While the people of Oz are strangers to the horrific mythos, there are still several among their ranks with the courage and skill to assist you in your mission. For each leg of the journey, you will choose several companions to lend you their talents. Be warned that as the citizens of Oz are gradually exposed to the Colour, they risk their lives and sanity!
Unlike other allies which are added to player decks, the chosen companions are always available to the entire group through the Boon Companions cards. There are two ways to utilize each companion, so choose wisely turn by turn!
You will need all the help you can get as the Colour rapidly warps the world around it! Is there truly a way to stop the alien corruption? Or is Oz simply ground zero for the doom of Earth? Keep your wits and well-being as you fight to drive the Colour back into space!
The eight scenarios in The Colour Out of Oz are:
- Scenario 1: The Road to Oz
- Scenario 2: Deep Impact
- Scenario 3: Double Whammy
- Scenario 4: Chasing Rainbows
- Scenario 5: Misery Loves Company
- Scenario 6: Hall of the Mountain King
- Scenario 7: Defense of the Realm
- Scenario 8: True Colours

Special thank you to the Mythos Busters and SCE communities for the support and feedback for the campaign.
maybe is silly to question this, but i am new in the game so it tends to happen, but is viable to use the player cards in the official campaings? its ballanced to do it or is just ballanced to be used in this scenario, this question extends to the other campaings too.
thanks for the attention, and all of your work is quite amazing and inspiring, maybe one day i give it a go and try to create somenthing as cool as those scenarios.
sorry for the broken english, and thanks again

The player cards are mostly balanced to use within the campaign, but I suppose they can be used elsewhere if you continue on. If you feel inspired to make your own content, please do! Thanks for your support.
